A 37-year-old man has been sentenced to 50 years in prison after being convicted in a long-running child sexual abuse case, according to the Polk County District Attorney’s Office. Philip James Mancuso, of Dallas, received the 600-month sentence on Tuesday and will face lifetime post-prison supervision and mandatory sex offender registration. In July, he was found guilty of four counts of first-degree sodomy, two counts of first-degree sex abuse, and one count of incest. Authorities said the case began in 2024 following a report to child welfare officials. Mancuso was later located in Ohio and extradited to Oregon for trial. The judge imposed the sentence under Oregon’s Ballot Measure 11 and Jessica’s Law, which means he won’t be eligible for early release.
