A federal judge in New Hampshire ruled that Trump’s executive order targeting birthright citizenship can’t be enforced — at least for now. The judge allowed the case to proceed as a class action, clearing the way for a nationwide injunction, even after the Supreme Court tried to limit such broad judicial blocks.

Judge Laplante didn’t mince words:

“Citizenship is the greatest privilege in the world. Denying it is irreparable harm.”

Trump’s order would strip U.S.-born children of citizenship unless a parent is a citizen or green card holder — a move immigrant rights groups call unconstitutional under the 14th Amendment.

SCOTUS allowed the policy to take effect July 27 — unless this ruling stands.

Over 150,000 babies a year could be impacted.

A written ruling is expected by day’s end.
