WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump on Saturday launched into an extended and impassioned tirade on Truth Social, attacking media and political opponents. He criticized them for what he called an “obsession” with Jeffrey Epstein. Meanwhile, he staunchly defended U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi.
In his post, the President framed the increased attention to Epstein-related documents — which have circulated for years — as part of a coordinated smear campaign. Trump dismissed the issue entirely, calling Epstein “a guy who never dies.” Furthermore, he blamed “selfish people” for trying to hurt his administration.
“They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB,” Trump wrote. “We’re on one Team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening.”
The President did not reference any newly released documents. However, he railed against the revival of discussions around the Epstein case. He compared the current scrutiny to what he called past hoaxes involving Russia, Hillary Clinton, and the Steele dossier. Without citing evidence, he claimed the same forces that “created the Epstein Files” had also fabricated the infamous dossier. This occurred during his first term.
Trump went on to question the political motives of his critics:
“Why didn’t these Radical Left Lunatics release the Epstein Files [earlier]? If there was ANYTHING in there that could have hurt the MAGA Movement, why didn’t they use it?”
In the same post, he accused the FBI and intelligence agencies of ignoring “real crimes” like voter fraud and political corruption. He also continues to describe this as the “Rigged and Stolen Election of 2020.” Trump praised Bondi for pursuing these issues and demanded she be allowed to do her job without interference.
“LET PAM BONDI DO HER JOB — SHE’S GREAT!” he wrote in all caps.
Pam Bondi, who previously served as Florida’s Attorney General, is now the nation’s top law enforcement official under Trump’s second term. She has emerged as a key figure in the administration’s ongoing investigations into electoral practices and Democratic campaign operations.
Trump’s Truth Social post also blended grievances with bold predictions. He claimed the administration would achieve “more in 6 months than any other Administration has achieved in over 100 years.” At the same time, he reiterated his commitment to border security, energy dominance, and foreign policy.
Though Trump did not specify what prompted his defense of Bondi, or his renewed attack on the Epstein discourse, the post underscores his continued reliance on combative rhetoric. Additionally, he uses political loyalty as cornerstones of his leadership.
As of Saturday evening, the White House and Department of Justice declined to comment on the President’s remarks.
